President's Message

Welcome everyone to Quesnel’s 35th annual Billy Barker Days. It is hard to believe that in 1973 a small group of people decided to try and put on a festival for the good citizens of Quesnel, with a small budget and an eager committee Billy Barker Days was formed.

A special thank you has to go to all of our corporate sponsors, some have been with us supporting for the whole 35 years. Also a special thank you to the community as a whole who have supported, encouraged and actively participated to make Billy Barker Days one of the longest running and largest festivals in the Central Interior.

We are pleased to welcome home this year former BB days presidents and former Quesnelites who have planned their summer vacations to coincide with the festival to celebrate with us. Happy Anniversary from all of us to British Columbia 150 years, Quesnel 80 years, Barkerville 50 years, and to The Cariboo Observer 100 years.

We invite all of our guests to experience the spirit of British Columbia, Cariboo, and Quesnel – Stake your claim to the good times and please have a safe and happy weekend.
